Methi Pakora or Fenugreek leaves fritters can be served as an appetizer or snack. Its healthy, light and crispy . Moreover it tastes good and easy to prepare. Serve it as an evening snack with a
cup of hot tea. For making the pakodas:-
Methi leaves Finely chopped 1/3 cup
Potato 1 medium finely chopped
Onion 1 large finely chopped
Green chilli 1 finely chopped
Gram flour
Salt
Ginger crushed 1/2 tsp
Kala jeera 2 pinch of
Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
Red chilli powder 1/2 tsp(acc)
Curry leaves 1 tbsp chopped
1) In a bowl take around a closed fist of chopped methi leaves, chopped potato and finely chopped onion and green chilli, crushed ginger .
2) Add gram flour , salt, red chilli powder, pinch of soda, cumin seeds , kala jeera,curry leaves and mix well with hand so that all are mixed well.
3) Take a pan or kadhai and pour enough oil for frying . Let the oil to be hot.
4) Now to the bowl add little little water to mix the stuffs.Remember to add a little little water at a time.
It should be thick enough so that while putting it in hot oil you can sprinkle the stuffs.
5)After the oil is hot enough, sprinkle the mixed methi , potato and onion slowly slowly with the hand.
6) The mix should be scattered well so that it will become crispy.
7)Fry it in high- medium flame till all the pakoras become slight brown in color.
8) Take out the pakoras in a paper towel to absorb the excess oil.
9) Enjoy the hot methi pakoras with ketchup and chutneys.
