Green Papaya curry with coconut milk

Green papaya is the fruit which contains two powerful enzymes papain and chymopapain which break down proteins and aids in digestion. This enzymes dissipate as the fruit ripens. The green papaya contains vital nutrients including potassium, magnesium, vitamins A, C , E  and B .
Now coming to the recipe "Green Papaya curry with coconut milk with a hint of lime juice".
This dish when i think of making, i always calls my mom to explain me the recipe every time.. Sometime i feel like having it at lunch but then remember ohh.. its too late to call mom then i have to postpone my craving for eating this recipe. I just love the nice aroma and the taste of the combination of the khus khus( poppy seeds), coconut milk, curry leaves and lemon juice.But this time it will be my last time to ask this recipe to my mom as i will jot it down in my blog. Hope you all will love this recipe.

For this green papaya curry recipe you need..

Ingredients:-

Green raw papaya 1/2 peeled and cut into cubes
Potato 1 medium size peeled and cut into cubes.
Green chillis 2 cut into slit
Curry leaves
Methi seeds( fenugreek seed)
Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
Khus khus(soaked for 1 hour and pureed) paste 1 1/2 tbsp
Coconut milk
Lemon juice(freshly squeezed)
salt
Turmeric powder a pinch of.

Method:-

Take a pan add 1 tbsp of oil and fry the cut papaya and potatoes , putting salt and turmeric powder in a medium flame covered.

Now take out the cooked papaya and potato in a plate.

Take 1 tbsp of oil in the kadhai,  add methi seeds.

After it splutters add chopped onion and cook till the onion turns brown and then add ginger garlic paste.

After the raw smell is gone add the khus khus paste and cook for 2-3.

Add curry leaves saute it for a minute then add the fried papaya and potato.

Then Add 1/4 cup of coconut milk and mix well and boil for about 2 mins.

Then switch of the flame and squeeze half lemon and mix well.

Serve hot and delicious papaya curry with hot roti.
