Egg Chicken Roll

India is Famous for roadside eateries and Rolls. In Eastern side of India One will find a roll corner within every 1-2 kms .There are a different varieties of rolls sold in the street corners like Egg Roll, Egg- Chicken Roll, Chicken Roll, Veg Roll, Kathi Roll, Chicken Tikka Roll, Paneer Roll, Mutton Roll etc etc....

I love Egg chicken roll the most. So guys for making your weekend special with a lovely snacks or dinner at night with a glass of chilled coke and a good movie, here goes the recipe....


This Recipe is for 2 persons and for 4 nos of Egg Chicken Roll..

For Making Dough:-

All Purpose flour 2 cups
Oil 2 tsp
Water
Salt 1/2 tsp

For Filling:-

Eggs 4 ( 1 for each)
Chicken 1lb/ 500 gms
Onions 2 medium size
(one of them finely chopped)
(2nd one cut into halves make paste of 1 half and other half thinly sliced)
Tomato 1 finely chopped
Ginger Garlic Paste 1 tbsp
Turmeric
Coriander Powder
Red Chilli Powder
Chicken Masala
Garam Masala

For Garnishing:-

Cilantro chopped
Lemon
Black Pepper Powder
Tomato ketchup
Green chilli sauce









Method:-

For stuffing and dough:-

Cut the chicken into small cubes or bite size and wash it and put 1 tsp oil and salt and keep it for 15 mins.

Take a big bowl and add 2 cups all purpose flour and salt and oil and mix it well . Put some water and knead  the dough. Don't make it very soft dough. Keep the dough aside covering it with a wet cloth or paper towel.

Now Take a pan put 2 tbsp oil add the chicken pieces and fry for some time and take it out . 

In the same pan with the remaining oil add 1 tbsp oil and then add garlic, chopped onion. After onion turns slight brown in color add the onion paste and ginger garlic paste. 

After 2-3 minutes add the turmeric powder about 2 pinch of, coriander powder 1 tsp, chilli powder ( acc. to your taste), chicken masala 1/2 tsp and mix it well and then add chopped tomatoes .

After its the masala becomes pulp consistency add the chicken and salt and cook for about 5 minutes in medium flame.

Cook until the masala is well covered with each and every piece of chicken.

Now Garnish with chopped cilantro.

For making the roll:-

Take One Ball of dough and roll it like chapatti using oil or some flour.

Take a Tawa/ Griddle and make it like parathas sprinkling some oil on top of it.

Take one egg break it and beat it well in a small bowl adding some salt.

In the Tawa/ Griddle pour 2 drops of oil add the egg mix and spread it across.

Without changing the side put the paratha on top of that and after a minute change the side and again cook for a minute. By doing so the egg will stick to the paratha.

Now shift the paratha to a plate and in the middle put some chicken pieces and on top of that some onions, lemon juice, black pepper a pinch of and 1 tsp of tomato ketchup and green chilli sauce(optional).

Repeat the process for each one.

Now roll the parathas firmly so that the stuffing of the chicken cubes do not fall.

Wrap it with aluminium foil or tissue paper and serve hot with tomato and chilli sauce .

Enjoy it with a glass of coke and with a nice movie in the evening.
