Lettuce wraps

Once i had been to Cheese cake factory and there we have ordered Chicken lettuce Wrap.
It was really yummy and i loved it .Next thing came into my mind is to try at home. Nevertheless its my hobby to try the new things at home, and to my surprise it came out really good.

Its quite innovative and delicious dish. I have done with chicken but the veg lovers can use tofu, paneer or the mix vegetables for the stuffing. The preparation method is the same for all the things whatever you cook.
Here is the recipe for Chicken Lettuce Wrap.

Ingredients:-
Boston lettuce ( remove it carefully so that it wont break) washed and kept it aside in plate.
Peanuts crushed and fried.
3 cloves of garlic
3 Scallions
Ginger finely chopped or minced.
water chestnuts( its available in Asian super market)
mushrooms
2 tbsp of corn starch
Cellophane noodles
1 large egg white

For non veg :-
11/2 lbs Minced chicken or chicken chopped into small pieces.

For veg :-
Minced tofu/ Minced Paneer/ Chopped vegetables.

Sauces:-
2 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp hoisin sauce
1 tbsp soy sauce
1tbsp sesame oil
1 tsp brown sugar

Method :-
For chicken:-
Mix the chicken with corn starch , soy sauce and 1 egg white and keep it for at least 15-30 mins in the fridge. In a bowl mix all the sauces and keep it aside.
In the mean time cook the noodles as  per the instructions and fry it batch by batch till it becomes crispy and keep it aside to garnish and use it inside the wrap.
Take a skillet add sesame and peanut oil and fry the marinated chicken till it turns slight brown and take it out in a plate. Then put Peanut oil and wait for its to be very hot so that the smoke comes out , then add chopped garlic and ginger . After a minute add  chestnuts, chopped mushrooms and the scallions.
After stirring it for 2 minutes add the fried chicken and add the above mixed sauces and stir fry for a minute.
Lastly add crushed peanuts and spring onions.

Now enjoy with the lettuce stuffed with the stir fry chicken and the noodles.
