gobhi manchurian

Ingredients:-

Cauliflower 1 medium cut into small florets
All Purpose flour 4 tbsp
Corn flour(starch) 3 tbsp
Gram flour 1 tbsp
Black pepper
Red Chilli Powder
Onion 2 medium thinly sliced
Green Pepper 1 small thinly sliced
Green Chilli 2 sliced
Green Onions chopped.
Garlic 2-3 medium cloves chopped
Ginger 1 inch finely chopped
Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
Salt ( acc.) to taste
Soy Sauce 2 tbsp
Tomato ketchup 1 tbsp
Maggi Hot and Sweet Sauce 1tbsp
Chilli Garlic paste 1 tbsp
Ajinomoto  1 pinch of
Orange color (optional for a nice color)

Method:-

Cut the cauliflower into small bite size florets and wash them in the running water.

In a bowl take all purpose flour 3 tbsp, gram flour1 tbsp, corn flour 2 tbsp, ginger garlic paste, black pepper 1/2 tsp, chilli powder 1/2 tsp, a pinch of turmeric, salt and orange food color(optional) and mix it well with water.Make a thick batter.

In a pan take oil for frying the cauliflower florets.

When the oil is hot enough dip some florets and fry them until it turns slight brown and becomes crispy.
Fry all the florets batch by batch and keep it aside.

In a pan 2 tbsp of oil, add green chilli, chopped ginger and garlic and then add onions.

After sauteing it for a minute add the green peppers and chopped green onions.

Cook for 4-5 mins in a medium to high  flame and remember not to overcook. The onions and green pepper should be little crunchy.

In a bowl take 1 tsp of corn flour, soy sauce, tomato ketchup, chilli garlic paste, Maggi Hot and Sweet sauce and mix well with little water.

Add the above mixture to the onion and then stirring it for 2 mins in a high flame ,add the fried cauliflower florets , ajinomoto and mix well till the sauce is well coated with the florets.

Garnish with green onions, black pepper and roasted sesame seeds and switch off the flame.

Serve hot with any indian bread or Rice or with noodles or as an appetizer.

Notes:-

To retain the crispiness add the florets with the sauce 5 mins before serving.

Without frying the florets also you can make the manchurian ... just fry the florets in a pan with 2 tsp of oil without dipping it in any batter, and then proceed the next steps.

If you want a real color then you can use the color or else you can omit this ingredient.

You can exclude the green onion or green pepper also.
